I bought a pair of tickets for the movie Mu Mu on 27/4/25 at 7:15 PM. When we entered and looked for our seats, to my surprise, they were not cleaned up. The rubbish from the previous show was still inside. And the popcorn? Not fresh.

Watched Hunger Games here. In this cinema, entry to the auditorium is only allowed right before the film's scheduled start time. The pre-film ads are quite lengthy, lasting around 30 minutes. The air conditioning inside the auditorium also gets cold once the movie begins.

The theatre was good, but I'm giving 1 star for the popcorn counter. I went to get a popcorn combo for the movie, but the service was terrible.
The staff didn't ask at all and just assumed we were getting a large popcorn combo. When we saw the price of $13, we were shocked, as we were looking at a poster on the counter side advertising an $11+ combo (usual price). Cinema menus are all over the place, so we didn't see any large combo price near the counter or flashing on the screen. We tried clarifying, but the staff wasn't able to explain properly to us, saying it was a special promo even as we kept explaining we were looking at the section labeled '$11+' as the usual price. Finally, we realized the $11+ price was for a regular combo, but he gave us the large combo without asking. It's been some time since I visited the cinema, so we wouldn't know. Even bubble tea shops ask every time if the customer wants a regular or large size!
Also, we didn't want ice in our drink, as the cinema would be cold already. So we asked if we could have no ice (it's normally chargeable at 30 cents); less drink would be fine. But the staff was not flexible at all. He didn't even explain if it wasn't allowed as a company policy (which, if that were the case, would be acceptable). Instead, he just repeated that no, he had to charge 30 cents without further explanation.
Our mood was slightly ruined even before the movie started. We didn't really want to argue with the counter staff, so we just took the combo he packed. To be honest, we are okay with paying $13 if we had known upfront. We just felt kind of cheated, plus the counter staff assumed the order, didn't explain clearly on everything, and wasn't flexible.
Bad experience.

I'm visiting Singapore for 4 months and I really wanted to try out a cinema. The theater was clean, the film was good, but it was way too cold! And I don't know if it's normal here, but people were talking, shouting, and reacting to the film throughout the entire session (we couldn't watch in peace).

I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding a recent incident where individuals under the age of 18 were allowed to attend an M18-rated screening at your venue. This is a clear violation of content classification regulations and shows a serious lapse in the enforcement of age restrictions.
M18 ratings exist to protect younger audiences from content unsuitable for them. Allowing underage individuals into such screenings not only undermines the integrity of the rating system, but also raises serious questions about staff training, supervision, and accountability.

I'd give 5 stars for the service provided by the staff at the gold class lounge. They were friendly and quick to serve. The whole experience of watching the movie was wonderful. But I was extremely disappointed with the toilets. This is my 3rd time at this GV. All three times, they were disgustingly dirty and worn out. There was no cleanliness whatsoever in the toilets. It was as if they didn't do any cleaning at all.

So disappointed in our Gold Class service. The food we had ordered online the day before and checked in for at the counter was not served. We had to ring the service bell to request our plates of food (we had patiently waited for approximately half an hour through the movie already?). The staff didn’t even know what we ordered, and I had to pull up my receipts on my phone during the movie, which made me miss key moments of the film. We also left realising that we were short one drink (we had ordered three sets of meals but were only served two cups of ice lemon tea instead of three). We expected much more from a premium service we had paid for for the whole family, hoping for a positive experience, but left feeling very cheated.

Nice environment for a movie. Clean bathroom.
Went to see BAD BOYS:RIDE OR DIE.
The air conditioning was good, as usual, and the food and beverages were also good.

Golden Village Cinema is located on the top floor of Bugis+. The cinema is clean, and the seats are comfortable. The only downside is no lounge for Gold Class, and the toilet has room for improvement. Overall, it was still a good experience, and I will return.

Nice environment for a movie. The bathroom was clean.
The air conditioning, as usual, is quite cold, so remember to bring a jacket if you cannot handle the cold.
As I am someone who very rarely buys food and drinks from the counter, I cannot comment on that. The movie experience itself is decent.

We had a great movie and dining experience, thanks to Raimie, who went above and beyond to provide excellent service. He kindly informed us about the 3 for $42++ promotion, which we weren’t aware of despite dining at other GV locations. Raimie patiently explained the best combinations to enjoy the deal and ensured we got the most value. He was thoughtful, even offering a nearby table to place our used plates when ours was full. Raimie and the team were polite, attentive, and respectful of our viewing experience. GV needs more service-oriented staff like Raimie! Friendly, helpful, and always professional. Thank you!

The GV cinema at Bugis+ boasts modern cleanliness and comfort. Their provision of booster seats for kids shows considerate attention to customer needs. With an impressive Dolby sound system and comfortable temperature, the viewing experience is top-notch. However, the placement of a restaurant behind the ticket gate raises questions about accessibility for patrons who may not be purchasing movie tickets.

The cinema looks quite fresh and new, and the interior was pleasant and mold-free. The sound system was good, though the indicator lights by the seats were unfortunately a little bright.

Pleasant surprise! Clean and spacious.
Comfortable seats, and quite cold – bring a jacket! I was wearing long sleeves and it was still cold.
Sadly, the HK movie was dubbed into Mandarin.
Nonetheless, I enjoyed the movie experience.

Here's the edited review:
Had a pleasant time watching a movie. It wasn't too overcrowded, and everything was in order. A downside was that the theatre only opens 5 minutes before showtime; it used to be 10-15 minutes prior.
The seats were good, and the armrests could be lifted up. It was clean.
They should make movies a bit more affordable. $100 for a family of 4 with snacks on a weekend is not affordable for everyone.
