CoCo ICHIBANYA at Bugis+ represents the Singapore presence of the world's largest Japanese curry house chain, bringing over 30 years of curry expertise from Nagoya, Japan to the heart of Singapore's vibrant Bugis district. Known affectionately as "CoCoICHI" and crowned the "King of Japanese Curry," this restaurant has been serving Singapore since 2011 and has established itself as the definitive destination for authentic Japanese curry rice experiences. With over 1,400 branch locations globally, CoCo ICHIBANYA has perfected the art of Japanese-style curry, offering a unique dining concept that allows extensive customization of spice levels, rice portions, and toppings. The restaurant's recent renovation has created a modern, inviting atmosphere while maintaining the comfortable booth seating that customers love, providing an authentic Japanese dining environment in Singapore's bustling shopping district.
The restaurant's menu showcases over 30 varieties of Japanese curry with an innovative customization system that sets it apart from other curry establishments. Customers can personalize their meals by selecting from spice levels ranging from Mild (suitable for children) to Level 5 (24x spiciness), adjusting rice portions, and choosing from nearly 40 different toppings to create their perfect curry experience. Popular menu items include the Pork Cutlet Curry, Pork Cutlet Omelet Curry (6.90), Chicken Cutlet Curry (3.90), and the vegetarian-friendly Creamed Mushroom Omelet Curry (3). The restaurant has recently modified their curry formulation to be vegetarian at the mild level, making their offerings accessible to a broader customer base. Each curry order includes complimentary eggs, adding value to the dining experience while maintaining reasonable pricing that makes quality Japanese curry accessible to all diners.
Located at 201 Victoria Street #01-10 Bugis+ Singapore 188067, CoCo ICHIBANYA operates with convenient hours and can be reached at +65 6341 9978 for inquiries and reservations. The restaurant's prime location within Bugis+ shopping complex provides direct access from Bugis MRT Station, making it easily accessible via Singapore's comprehensive public transportation system. The central Bugis location places diners within walking distance of numerous shopping, entertainment, and cultural attractions, making it an ideal dining choice during city exploration. Weekend and Friday evenings typically see higher traffic, so visitors should expect potential wait times during these peak periods, though the authentic Japanese curry experience makes the wait worthwhile.
We came back to CoCoICHIBANYA at Bugis a second time during our trip to Singapore. The pork cutlet curry was spot on and took us back to Japan. This time we also tried the mala special and ordered the pork cutlet udon with mala. I was very happy with the dish and the service was excellent. We were served by May **who** was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again when we’re next in Singapore.

Great food paired with great service! Thank you, May, for your service! ☺️
The phone holder was such a nice gesture for solo diners eating while watching on their phone! 👍👍👍

Sharlene provided the best service! Not only did she provide us with ice water (which the initial staff and server had not provided until halfway into our meal), but she also constantly supplied us with the pickles we liked so much, without us having to ask. Maximum stars for Sharlene’s service. Thanks!!

Authentic Japanese-style curry rice, with a fully customizable menu offering more flexibility. I had the level 2 spicy curry, which was suitable for warming up after a day in the office. The rice is super, just like what I enjoyed in Japan before. Good choice if you like curry.

Had an enjoyable meal here. The service staff, Sharlene, was very attentive and served us plain iced water when she observed that we seemed to need it. Overall, a good experience. Good job to the team here!

Service staff are friendly and attentive. Curry rice was delicious, and there **are** various spice levels to choose from. Lvl 2 was perfect, just enough spice for a spice-lover. **It can** get a bit hot since the restaurant is situated by the entrance of the mall.

Besides the delicious food, I really appreciate Sharlene’s service. She’s very attentive and kind in offering a phone stand. She also asked if I would like some ice water even though I already had my Boost Juice! Thank you, Sharlene and team. I would definitely come back!

The Mushroom Curry was one of the best Curry Omurice dishes I've tasted. I had it at Level 2 spice and an additional side of Kaarage Chicken. Having also tasted the Salmon Curry before, I would say this is the best Curry Omurice dish at this place. The staff was also nice and polite, and it's a nice place to eat after a long day.

Thanks to all staff. On Good Friday, the lunch was really nice and pleasant. It was my first time here, and I was glad to know they are okay to separate. It was nice to have water, and they do not charge for it.

Ate here about 3 years ago and returned to have Coco Curry. Pleasant dining experience, food was good, and curry was superb and comforting. Staff were generally very polite. Sharlene is very attentive and proactive. Will return!

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The ramen was delicious—flavorful, rich, and perfectly cooked. A special shout-out to our server, Sharlene, who was exceptionally polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The service overall was excellent, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Ariella was superb! Her service made us appreciate this establishment even more! The food is, as always, the best. Whenever I'm craving Japanese Curry, I come to Coco. We're showing our half-eaten meal. Highly recommend getting the hamburg-and-cheese and salmon teriyaki as sides 😋

This was just as good as I remembered it in Japan. I think this could have been my favourite meal in Singapore. カレー味 was authentic, Tonkatsu was crispy, and the service was super friendly. A must-visit for anyone who loves Japanese curry or is missing their time in Japan.

It's been a long time since I reviewed a restaurant, due to a busy work schedule. After a long day at work, I decided to give this curry house a go. I was welcomed by Pam and ushered to my table. She explained the menu and made recommendations to suit my liking. What exceptional staff and top service! Food-wise, the curry could be better, in my opinion. It’s very competitive nowadays with so many choices in the city. Overall, a great experience!
