Great food and service! I had Xin Hui and Simon as my servers. The servers were all very nice and prompt with their service, and overall, the food was really well made! I was pleasantly surprised that the BBQ was with charcoal and not just some sort of heating element. The free pumpkin soup was really nice — rich but not too heavy. The fruits were a surprise as well, sweet and good quality! Ice cream is free and not from the usual brand, but from Magnolia!

Going back again! Service was great. Food was awesome. We got a two-person set meal for three of us and an additional pineapple beef set. The charcoal was hot, so the meat was cooked with a great char (if you like that, of course). The beef was so good! The set came with lean beef, fat beef, and lean/fat beef. I devoured them all in seconds. Service was great; our server was really attentive. Already looking forward to our next visit!

First time visiting this restaurant, we tried the recommended set meal. The meat was fresh and well-marinated, though, for my taste, the flavor was a bit too strong. The sesame sauce was nice, but I couldn’t enjoy much of it as the meat was already quite rich. As for the dining setup, the table felt a little cramped and the seating was too close to the pot. The heat made my face warm and eyes dry, which affected the overall experience.

Great spot for BBQ! The marinated meats were flavourful. Loved the pumpkin purée soup — smooth and comforting. Set meals are available and great for sharing. Service was friendly and attentive. Tip: If celebrating a birthday, let them know — they’ll surprise you with a fun song and dance performance!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely outstanding experience at Xita Lao Tai Tai! The marinated beef was incredibly tender and flavorful — each bite was perfection. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it ideal for both casual dinners and special occasions. Special kudos to Jia Wen, who went above and beyond with the service. She patiently grilled everything to perfection and was incredibly attentive throughout our entire meal, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. This is hands down one of the best Chinese BBQ experiences I've had in Singapore. Will definitely be back soon!
