KOI Thé at Bugis Plus represents one of Singapore's most established Taiwanese bubble tea destinations, located at #01-01, 201 Victoria Street, serving authentic Taiwanese milk tea since the brand's Singapore debut in 2007. Originally established as KOI Cafe in 2006 and rebranded to KOI Thé in 2015 to better convey their tea culture philosophy, this popular outlet maintains authenticity through ingredients imported directly from Taiwan to deliver genuine Taiwanese milk tea experiences. The Bugis Plus location, opened in 2017, consistently attracts queues despite efficient service that typically delivers orders within 5-10 minutes, demonstrating the brand's enduring popularity among Singapore's diverse bubble tea enthusiasts.
The comprehensive menu features crowd favorites including KOI Macchiato, Matcha Latte, Golden Bubble Milk Tea, and their signature KOI Milk Tea known for smooth texture and balanced sweetness. The milk tea selection encompasses Low Fat Milk Tea, Green Milk Tea, Oolong Milk Tea, and various specialty combinations that showcase traditional Taiwanese tea preparation techniques. The popular Matcha Macchiato (.10 for regular size) exemplifies KOI's commitment to quality, while their signature golden bubbles made from natural ingredients provide the perfect chewy texture that defines authentic bubble tea experiences. Customers can customize sugar levels between 25%-100%, with most preferring 50%-100% for optimal flavor balance.
The Bugis Plus outlet operates with organized efficiency despite being one of Singapore's busiest KOI locations, featuring packed yet well-managed kiosk counters where staff collaborate seamlessly in preparation, packing, and service delivery. KOI rewards customer loyalty through birthday month promotions offering free medium-sized drinks with toppings for members, while their extensive network of Singapore outlets ensures consistent quality and accessibility. The combination of authentic Taiwanese ingredients, traditional preparation methods, signature golden bubbles, efficient service delivery, and strategic location within Bugis Plus's dynamic retail environment makes KOI Thé an essential destination for bubble tea enthusiasts seeking genuine Taiwanese flavors and quality that has defined Singapore's bubble tea culture for over a decade.
Staff are nice and friendly. During peak hours, there is usually a long queue.
If you are a fan of Koi's Vanilla ice cream, this outlet doesn't have it. In fact, I even checked with a staff member to ask if they would be bringing it back, and they said they aren't sure. Hope it comes back soon. I don't fancy the extra coconut flavour in my green tea.

Ordered 50% less sugar, less ice peach milk tea, but the milk tea tasted like 100% sugar. Sad.

To be honest, this place was hard to find, as I had no idea it was located on the OUTSIDE of the mall. But after 20 minutes of hunting it down, my boba cravings were pleasantly satiated.
We ordered 3 drinks for 2 people (you could call me a bit of a boba fanatic). Gulu Melaka Milk Tea, Oolong Tea Macchiato, and Green Milk Tea. Highly recommend any of these drinks with 50% - 75% sweetness. Boba and aiyu toppings are both solid.

This morning I went to Bugis KOI The. I wanted to order my friend's favourite drink but I was unable to recall exactly the name, specifically 'something chocolate'. The staff named Wendy was so helpful and had lots of patience. I felt touched by her friendly help, smile, and patience. THANK YOU Wendy!!!

I ordered the peanut butter milk tea with pearls. It was so good! The texture of the peanut butter is creamy and chunky. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes peanut butter.
The location has no seating. It's on a street corner, at least covered from the sun. The line can be a little hectic, as there are two ordering systems, including a separate ticketing system.

This café serves customizable tea, bubble tea, and coffee for takeaway that can be easily ordered via a touch screen monitor or at the counter. We tried a fruity, a tea, and a coffee-based beverage, and all of them were delicious. My favourite one was with peanut butter. I really liked that it's possible to choose the amount of sugar and ice, as well as the toppings. The shop is always crowded, so you will probably have to queue a bit, but it's worth the wait.

May 2025: I never knew we could use the HPB Vouchers at Koi. I love the macchiato there.

The service was awesome! The staff were really friendly too. And I have to say, one of the guys there is super cute. I'm a regular at this place. Koi definitely has the best honey green tea.

Fast service.
The newly released orh nee milk tea is great.
The orh nee is not too sweet and contains some taro balls.
The milk tea is the standard milk tea.
Good with 0% sugar.
Order was prepared before the scheduled pickup time.

This is lychee black tea with 25% sugar, served with tiny bits of aloe vera. The sweetness is just right for me. I initially wanted to order it without sugar—a healthier choice—but I changed my mind. Sweet stuff just makes me happy, and I couldn’t resist. …

✔ Rich & Smooth Tea – Well-brewed, flavorful teas with customizable sugar and ice levels.
✔ Signature Golden Pearls – Soft, chewy, and slightly sweet, enhancing the drink experience.
✔ Wide Variety – Offers classic milk teas, fruit teas, macchiatos, and seasonal specials.
❌ Long Queues – Can get crowded, especially during peak hours.

Overall:
A great place for bubble tea lovers, offering consistent quality and a satisfying drink experience, but be prepared for queues!

Here's an edited version of the review:
This spot is hard to find. Block 01-01 in the F&B Directory led me to believe it would be in the mall, but it's surprisingly located outside.
Also, I hate the ordering machine. It took me 10 minutes to order and settle payment, and I had to switch to manual ordering since I couldn't find my favorite item in the list.
By the way, the flavor is still the best in town!

Smooth and fast. I think my order was done, but the order in front of me hadn't been collected, so I waited. Chry macchiato is quite sweet and strong. It is nicer after the ice melts.
