The waffle was not quite consistent. One was a little cold and salty, but the other was nice, warm, and good. The marshmallow was very nicely toasted, a little brown and crispy on the outside, and soft inside.

For Sunday lunch, it wasn't too busy. I had a savory meal and matcha tea, though I don't remember exactly what I ordered. The meal wasn't bad; I mean, it was just okay. Maybe I should've tried the desserts they're known for. I did have a scoop of ice cream, and that was okay too. It wasn't supermarket ice cream, but it wasn't all that memorable either. It's an open-plan space, so if you plan on having a conversation with someone while eating, it's hard to hear each other when loud music is playing from the ground floor.

Smallest portion of pasta I've ever eaten. I might as well go cook instant noodles and eat. I was also only given one piece of tissue. Cost-cutting is certainly happening quite aggressively at this place. Staff service and ambience are good, though. What a shame.

Gelare's ice cream selection is quite impressive, offering a wide range of delicious flavors to choose from. Whether you prefer classic options like vanilla and chocolate or more adventurous ones like mint fudge or blueberry cheesecake, Gelare has something for every ice cream lover. The quality and richness of their ice cream are truly satisfying. However, it's important to note that the service at Gelare can be a bit sluggish. While the wait might be justified by the delicious ice cream, it's something to consider if you're in a hurry. Another aspect to take into account is the ambiance. Gelare's location on the 5th floor of Bugis+ means it's generally quieter than dessert places in busier areas. This can be a positive if you're looking for a peaceful setting to enjoy your ice cream, but it's not the ideal choice if you're seeking a bustling, lively atmosphere. To sum it up, Gelare provides excellent ice cream with a wide variety of flavors. Just be prepared for the possibility of slower service and a more tranquil atmosphere due to its location on the 5th floor of Bugis+.

Gelare has been my go-to waffle place for a long time whenever a waffle craving kicks in 🙈. This time around, I went to the Bugis outlet on November 2nd. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. As for the ice cream, it's very yummy, of course 🫰🏼. Staff were friendly and very helpful, especially the Malay lady. Recommended!! ❤️❤️

Ordered hot Milo and ice cream croffles. Croffles were basic and simple; presentation was lacking and definitely did not warrant $13. The Milo was pretty much identical to any Milo you could make on your own, just with some nice foam. But at $6, with less volume than you'd get for a kopitiam $1.60 cup, it was definitely not worth it. Staff was dismissive and cold. They came and just dropped my meal without saying anything or making eye contact. I felt treated like a chore. Bad experience overall. Don't come here.

30Apr2025: Came here around 8:40 PM. We were greeted with a "closed" sign. I checked the opening hours, which indicated 10 PM, but staff confirmed they were closed. I asked her if they could do takeaway. She looked at the cashier counter unwillingly, sighed, and reluctantly took our takeaway order. A very, very bad experience. Otherwise, the ice cream is good, though very melted.

A double scoop costs $10.50. It's expensive, and the quality of the ice cream is very poor. I will not come back again; it's totally not worth it.

Went to Gelare Bugis+ at 9:15 PM to use my Grab voucher. I was informed by staff Amirud/Amirul that the waffle maker had been turned off and he couldn't prepare the order. Google and Grab indicated operating hours until 10 PM. He questioned me why I had waited until the last minute to redeem my voucher, which was still valid. He also stated that Google, not he, indicated operating hours were until 10 PM, and that I was affecting his knock-off hours. When I asked for his name so that I could reach out to Grab for support, he curtly stated his name and told me to contact customer service for anything else. I originally had no intention of flagging up this horrendous service attitude. However, as a customer, I was made to feel like anything BUT a customer, and since I was "encouraged" by Amirud/Amirul to do so, here I am, posting my review on Google.

This is my first time eating at Bugis+. I saw Gelare, which provides waffle with ice cream. For me, it's worth it for someone who is craving these two food items. The most important part is that the Gelare staff is doing his best to serve his customers. It's like a one-man show, and it's tough because I have experience as an F&B crew member. Anyway, thank you for your good service and kind attitude. Keep up the good work, Gelare.
