The service and atmosphere were great! The food, however, was overly oily. For example, the mala broccoli had an excessive amount of mala oil. And the truffle didn't have a distinctive truffle flavor, despite also being very oily. That said, the portion is really worth the money.

Here's the edited review: "I don't know why I'm paying a service tax. I understand most of the service is QR code-based, but you didn't bother to check whether each table had cutlery. We went through your cutlery drawer ourselves, and you didn't bother to ask why. Oh, but there was still one old lady; she was the only one who provided actual service to us. We couldn't finish the food because the pizza wasn't appetizing. We tried to finish it because we paid for it anyway. Anyway, this is my second time coming, and probably the last. The first time I came, I found plastic in the pizza, but Pizza Maru was willing to change it, which was good. That pizza was a seasonal pizza, which tasted great."

I tried Pizza Maru at Bugis+—famous for their Korean-style pizzas and fried chicken combos. We ordered their signature pizza topped with crispy Korean fried chicken and a generous layer of melted cheese. The flavors were rich and indulgent, with a nice blend of sweet, savory, and a touch of spice. The crust was thick and doughy, which might appeal to some, but personally I prefer a thinner, crispier base that lets the toppings shine more. In terms of portion, it’s quite filling, but I did find the pricing slightly on the higher side for a pizza, especially compared to more traditional pizzerias. If you’re a fan of cheesy, fusion-style comfort food and don’t mind a heavier crust, it’s definitely worth a try. Bonus points for its vibrant, casual setting and friendly service.

Here's the edited review: Tried the soy garlic chicken pizza with my friend for dinner. After GST and service charge, it was around $41.80. When it came, the cheese pull was amazing. But as we ate slowly over dinner, the pizza had so much cheese (within the crust) and sweet potato, and the base was so thin I couldn't really see why it was marketed as having a sesame base. There was some pounded sesame on the pizza itself. No complaints about the soy chicken; it was delicious. It might be a better idea to just buy the chicken and not the pizza because its appeal is lost when it gets cold, and it is also very cheese-heavy. It needs to be shared with 6 friends, so each person only takes 1 slice at the start. It was simply too much. I won't try the pizza again. I only really liked the chicken. I did not enjoy the sweet parts of the pizza (some cream cheese and some sweet potato).

Here's the edited review: Fried chicken was nice. Crispy outside, moist and tender inside. The fries were also not bad, quite refreshing with a light cream. Not a fan of their cheese on pizza. The pizza dough and ingredients are good, in my opinion, but the amount of cheese spoils it. The amount of cheese made the pizza worth only the first slice. The cheese lacks a good flavour. It might be good for cheese lovers or gourmands who like anything slapped with cheese. It also resembles Korean modern food trends.
