I went to Bugis+ every Saturday, sometimes for food and sometimes to walk around to enjoy the air conditioning because Singapore is too hot. Today, I had my grilled fish at Aston. I was the first customer, arriving exactly at the 11:30 AM opening, as I don't like to queue and wait for my food. If you have lunch between 12 PM and 2 PM on weekends, you'll have to wait at every eatery. Fortunately, I was the first one, and the crowd started to flock in. By the time I finished my meal, there were tons of people, hahaha. On my last few trips, I had Japanese ramen, egg-covered fried rice, and Korean bibimbap. Bugis+ is for youngsters, especially girls, selling all sorts of girls' stuff. And there are also a lot of food shops and restaurants. It's not bad, but it gets too crowded, which I don't really like. It's not bad to walk around, especially Bugis Junction.

Service was prompt in seating us once a table was available. My serving of chestnut pork was way too burnt, with quite a bit of charred bits that I had to trim off from the meat. It was overcooked, making the meat tough and a tad too dry, especially compared to the usual standards we've experienced at other Astons outlets. The mushroom sauce served was also pretty diluted on the day of our visit. We had requested the sauce be served on the side. It was quite a disappointing experience at this outlet.

I came here last Friday for dinner with my friend. I have frequented many Astons restaurants around Singapore; therefore, we decided to give the Bugis Junction outlet a go. I ordered the fried chicken cutlet with a side of fries and wedges, and I have to say, the chicken was fried perfectly, with the outer skin being super crispy and the meat being both juicy and tender! The fries and wedges were lightly salted and seasoned pretty well too! The only complaint I have is the wait time for the food to arrive at our table, but I guess it's because it was during the dinner rush, so, yeah, understandable.

The restaurant here practices inclusive hiring, which is commendable. Food-wise, it was also quite good, and I was glad that the ribeye turned out exactly medium as I had wanted. The grilled fish was good as well, and so was the fiery chicken, albeit small in size; the sides were actually bigger than the main. Overall, the food here is better than at other Astons I've been to.

Nice ambience and attentive staff. Food quality and portions are still great. It's just that inflation has caused prices to increase. Ordered through the QR code on the table and paid immediately.
